Do you let other people decide when you will do for your future? Even though you are not so fond of engineering but you took it up anyway because of the big money it offers and the glamors of an engineer it projects. For guys, it will be easier to score girls as they will look for either an engineer or a doctor.
Even we have decided for our own, sometimes people will come and say things to us. Nak tak nak, we have to listen and will get confused. Betul ke ape yang aku buat ni? When we are young, we depended on our elders to help us in a decision. But they sometimes don't know what we really want to do. When we tried to tell them, they dismissed us and told us to take up something worthwhile.
The same goes for applying government jobs or even bank jobs. If you do not enjoy it and got will stuck doing it forever. People will stay for the benefit sake. I don't deny it has good benefits. If you do something that you enjoy then it should be fine. If not? I did apply because of the mentality of most people that everyone should go for government job. Kalau semua orang nak kerja gomen sape yang nak keje swasta?
I am speaking this for myself. I rather be in a position and work that I like, giving me new knowledge, rather than stuck somewhere because of some benefit it offers and I am not happy with the job.

hai emily.. it is exactly how i felt when i want to go for other job rather than the job we seem obliged to have, the stable jobs i mean. and i don't think they are for me :).. thanks
i dont know why for some reason i refused to work with the government..it doesnt suit with what i want with my job
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I don't want to be pigeon-holed into some job that will make me go insane. I want to do something that I know will like. I know it's out there, but some people just aren't supporting the idea. I say they can just deal with it. People get mad at me when I say that, but hey, it's my life. Let me screw it up myself.

emily: there is certain job that i know i would enjoy but usually gets which I don't hehe. Sometimes it is really irritating when certain workplace have somekind of restriction and too many rules to be followed..
well, aku just mok balit sarawak .. lamak dah aku sitok. mintak transfer sik dapat. mintak keja lain sikda bunyi. susah juak. ada orang carik banker ka kat sawak?
maok juak balit ke sarawak yg peaceful ya tp life kat sitok ba.. cuba try mintak bank lain kak ya mintak transfer hehehe
